Arco Daria is an openable skylight and is composed of 3 main elements:
The dome is made from top quality polycarbonate sheets.
The opening frame is made from natural extruded aluminium alloy 6060.
The base is made from pressed sheet metal or fibreglass.

Covering materials

The Basso system of sheet pairing gives the cover excellent durability and resistance over time and excellent thermal insulation

The system consists of an upper sheet in solid polycarbonate (SHOCK-PROOF PC 2mm) and an upper sheet in alveolar polycarbonate (PCA 8/10/16mm).

The coupling of compact shock-proof polycarbonate (PC) and alveolar polycarbonate (PCA) results in a cover with maximum impact resistance.

MADE TO MEASURE
The choice of cover is determined by the hole width (A) and the required technical specifications (light transmission, thermal transmittance and mechanical resistance). ARCO DI LUCE is made to measure according to the customer’s needs.

RIBS IN ALUMINIUM
The sheets on the expansion are joined together by means of two calendered load-bearing structural profiles in extruded aluminium placed at modular centre-to-centre distance. The structural profile has been designed to accommodate any infiltrations of meteoric water.

Openable frame

The openable frame allows the skylight to be opened and the room to be naturally ventilated. It is made from two frames (fixed and openable) in natural extruded aluminium alloy 6060, joined together by means of aluminium hinges with steel pins. There is an EPDM gasket between the two frames. The frame can be opened by means of an electric motor.

THERMAL TRANSMITTANCE
Thermal transmittance is the transmission of heat that occurs through a body when it is subject to a difference in temperature, therefore representing the thermal flow per surface area unit that passes through a technical element (skylight) which separates two environments where air temperature has a unit difference.
According to (Italian) Legislative Decree 311/06 and (Italian) Presidential Decree 59/09, Italy has been divided into 6 climate areas subject to different thermal transmission values, to reach greater energy efficiency.

Bases

SHEET METAL BASES

The base is made from pressed sheet metal (galvanised – prepainted – stainless steel – printed RAL on request with a standard thickness of 12/10mm).
Its height can be customised according to the needs of the site and the lower lip support is made according to the type of covering to be adapted to. The base can be supplied as a single wall or insulated with a self-extinguishing polystyrene panel with a thickness of 4cm adapted to be sheathed, by the customer, or coupled to an external galvanised sheet of a thickness of 8/10mm to be connected to the covering. The thickness and type of insulation are also customisable aspects.

FALL PROTECTION NET

The electrowelded fall protection net can be installed above or below
the base and comes with triple selvedge at the ends with horizontal and vertical wires, both linear, made from galvanised steel with a diameter of 2.0mm and 100x50mm mesh.
This net is drop test certified (drop weight 50kg, drop height 1,200mm).

ANTI-INTRUSION NET ACCORDING TO ANIA REGULATIONS

The anti-bird net is made with 2mm diameter thread, galvanised and coated in green PVC, with 10x10mm mesh. It can be installed above or below the base to prevent the intrusion of birds.

MOSQUITO NET

The mosquito net is made from fibreglass and has a perimeter frame for proper installation.

ANTI-BIRD NET

The anti-bird net is made with 2mm diameter thread, galvanised and coated in green PVC, with 10x10mm mesh. It can be installed above or below the base to prevent the intrusion of birds.
